Workshop on Usage of Safety Equipments on 21st July 2016
The Directorate of Fisheries had organized workshop on “Usage of Safety Equipments” on 21/07/2016 at 10.00 am. The Workshop was arranged at Ravindra Bhawan, Margao, Salcete – Goa.
Due to enhanced coastal security measures and safety of Fishermen at Sea. Department had provided Safety Equipments i.e. GPS, VHF & Search & Rescue Beacon to the Fishermen venturing into the sea, under the Centrally sponsored Scheme “Development of Marine Fisheries, Infrastructure and Post Harvest Operations of which 75% grant is released by the Central Government and 25% is borne by the beneficiary. The main purpose of the workshop was to educate the fishermen on safety equipments provided to them. The Focus of the workshop was on Advantage & Operation of Safety Equipments.
The lecture was delivered by Smt. Carmin Martins on Importance of Safety Equipments, and Usage of Safety equipments was delivered by Shri. Gaurav Dhumatkar.
A total of 100 participants from different places of Goa attended the workshop. The workshop was concluded successfully.
