Quantum of Assistance

• Financial assistance for setting up of the crab culture unit
• 25% of the actual cost limited to Rs. 1,50,000/- per ha.
• Financial assistance for purchase of Seed and feed:
• 50% of the actual cost limited to Rs. 75,000/- per ha.

Eligibility /Criteria

1. Fish farmer/ individual/ Registered Self help group/ Societies, interested in the setting up of the Crab farming unit in the State of Goa can avail the benefit under this scheme.
2. Fish farmer/ Individual should be resident of Goa for last fifteen years.
3. Applicant should undergo training programme on Crab Farming organized by the Fisheries Department/ MPEDA/ICAR/ other institutes.

• 25%subsidy limited to Rs.2.00 lakh per ha.
• Financial Assistance for purchase of farming equipment:
• 50%subsidy limited to Rs.1.00 lakh per ha.
•  Financial Assistance for purchase of feed:
•  25% subsidy of the cost of feed limited to Rs.30000/- per crop per ha for 2 crops in a year.

Eligibility /Criteria

1. Beneficiaries should be farmers having water spread area of 2 ha. or less.
2. Farms owned by farmers should be licensed by Coastal Aquaculture Authority.

Notification

• Financial Assistance to Brackish Water Aquaculture Farms

Quantum of Assistance

Setting up of unit in estuarine waters:

• 50% subsidy limited to Rs. 25,000 per unit, maximum for 2 units. Each unit in the estuarine water will be of size 4 mtrs X 4 mtrs.

Setting up of unit in open sea

• 50% limited to Rs. 40,000 per unit, maximum for 2 units. Each unit in the Open sea will be of size 6 mtrsX 6mtrs.

Eligibility/Criteria 

1. Fish farmer/ individual/ Registered Self help group/ Societies, interested in the setting up of the Mussel culture/ Oyster farming unit in the State of Goa can avail the benefit under this scheme.
2. Fish farmer/ Individual should be resident of Goa for last fifteen years.
