The Hon’ble Minister for Fisheries, Shri Nilkanth Halarnkar, laid the foundation stone for a 100 KLD (kilo litres per day) Sewage Treatment Plant at the Fisheries Complex in Cutbona, Salcete, Goa.
He was joined by the Hon’ble MLA of Velim Constituency, Engr. Cruz Silva; Zilla Panchayat Member for Velim, Shri Gregorio Fernandes; Sarpanch of Village Panchayat Velim, Smt. Ludovina Cardozo; Secretary for Fisheries, Shri Prasanna Acharya, IAS; the Director of Fisheries; and the Executive Director of ONGC.
This initiative marks a significant step towards improving sanitation infrastructure and supporting sustainable fisheries operations in the region.
