The Department Officials of Directorate of Fisheries, in collaboration with the Primary Health Centre, Siolim, organized an awareness program at Chapora Jetty in Bardez, Goa. This initiative aimed to educate fishermen and crew members about the rising threat of vector-borne diseases. Participants were informed about the prevention, and treatment measures to safeguard their health while working in the fishing industry.
The Department Officials of Directorate of Fisheries, Government of Goa, held an awareness program at Cutbona Jetty to address the recent suspected cholera outbreak. Officials guided tandel and crew members of fishing vessels on the importance of personal hygiene, safe drinking water, and necessary precautions to prevent the disease. They also informed attendees about available Medicare facilities and emphasized the need for cooperation with authorities to effectively combat the outbreak.
